Solomon Ratt Recipient of 2021 Saskatchewan Order of Merit

Solomon Ratt, a Cree Language Studies Associate Professor at the First Nations University of Canada has been named as one of the 2021 Recipients of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit.

Prof. Ratt hails from Stanley Mission, SK, and is a survivor of the residential school system. He is being recognized by his long-standing work in revitalizing the Cree Language. His work has included writing Indigenous language literature, creating resources for instructors and learners, and teaching at the FNU.
